Double Layer Mail Retrieval Multiplexing

If a double layer topology is employed for multiplexing incoming mail as per section 4, then the same topology can be used to multiplex mail retrieval. Using this topology, perdition should run on the relay hosts and a real POP3 and IMAP4 daemons should run on the back end servers. As perdition and the real daemons do not run on the same box, there is no port contention, as there was for single layer mail retrieval multiplexing. This being so, a sample pop map follows;

john:fritz.bigisp.com
alison:ingrid.bigisp.com

The traffic analysis for this setup is the same as the SMTP counterpart, as discussed in section 4.1.
